A CASE OF THE MONDAYS

Wow!  It has been a quarantine MONDAY here.  And it's only 2.30. I think by 10 am I was already done and Reza and Ethan didn't even wake up until 10.30!

Let me preface this, Mondays have always been my absolute favorite day.  It's more like my Friday.

Even though I work all day Mondays.  It's MY work.  Catching up, working on photos, marketing, reading and responding to emails, blogging. And all on my sofa or dining room table WITHOUT kids or a husband hovering nearby or needing my help.

Now I dread Mondays.  Like I have MAJOR anxiety Sunday nights and have to take something to help me sleep because I hate Mondays so much.

And I'm not alone.  Everyone in my house dreads them on some level.  Justin misses work and they kids miss their school routines and Luke, well, Luke is 2 and we all miss daycare.  We miss our lives. And this being said, it's not all bad and Justin's been amazing and so have all 3 boys.  It's just sometimes the emotional part of it is so big for us, and we take turns having mini meltdowns.

It's hard to grieve something you lost when you don't understand how to grieve it while trying to make your new reality your new reality.  This is so hard.  And I know we all hear it all the time. But it is REALLY hard.  Especially when there is no end in site and even if there is an end, the reality is going to be so different to what we have known anyways when we get back to a normal.

So instead of you know doing the distance learning right now with Ethan, I decided to write a blog about Monday.  And share some of our busy life these days- well really just the weekend.  I do love my 366 day project to help me document our quarantine life and give me a creative outlet and help me escape my case of the Mondays.

I think maybe instead of dreading Mondays I’ll make Mondays self care day going forward to ease us all into a routine and life again after the weekends.
