So football season starts Thursday!  I am so excited.  I think over the years of my photography journey, shooting sports is my favorite thing, that and portraits of athletes.  The dance and the movement and the light, sigh, I have missed being on the sidelines.  COVID really has messed with so many things in our lives.

The one thing that it has not messed with is migratory patterns.  And the hummingbirds don't know that COVID has changed how so many of us live our lives today.

So I dusted off my 400mm lens to start gearing up for sports photography and tried to capture these teeny-tiny birds and their super-fast wings and bodies.   Here are some of the photos.

It was great to find them in my lens.  I love sitting outside and watching them and listening to them chatter in the trees and buzz around my head.  They are so little and so magnificent and such a wonderful reminder that we are all going to be ok.
